Ryan Mathew Starnes, a beloved son, fiancé, and father, tragically passed away on June 30, 2025, at the age of 23 in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan. Ryan’s sudden passing has left his family and friends devastated, as they mourn the loss of someone who brought joy, love, and laughter to those around them.
Ryan is survived by his fiancé McRae, his son Luke A. Starnes, and his parents, Katrina Skoczylas and Mike Starnes. He will also be missed by his siblings, Michael Starnes, Emma Wolf, Joshua Powell, Sean Starnes, and Bradley Starnes, along with his grandparents, Kathleen Meyers, David Weidemann, Frank and Rose Skoczylas, and Norine and Sonny Holder.
A prayer service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 6:00 AM and again at 6:00 PM at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 25800 Harper, Saint Clair Shores, MI 48081. Visitation will take place from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on the same day.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are appreciated, and a GoFundMe page has been set up to help support the Starnes family during this difficult time.
Ryan’s passing leaves a deep void, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
