Amber K. Montana, 37, Tragically Found Dead in Her Twin Lakes, WI Apartment

Amber K. Montana, 37, was found tragically dead in her home early Monday morning, March 24, 2026, in Twin Lakes, WI.

Montana’s life was taken in a senseless act of violence within the usually peaceful Tan Oak Apartments complex, located on Wilmot Avenue. Police responded to a call just after 9 a.m., discovering Montana’s body inside her apartment. Authorities report that she had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.

The loss has left the Twin Lakes community shaken, with many neighbors in disbelief. "It’s just so hard to believe this could happen here," said one neighbor, visibly affected by the tragic event. The complex, described as family-friendly and quiet, is now gripped by grief, as residents cope with the shock of losing one of their own.

Also found inside the apartment were an 11-month-old child and a family dog. Thankfully, both were unharmed. The infant was later placed with a relative.

Authorities quickly apprehended 35-year-old Brandyn R. Hall, who confessed to his involvement in the shooting. He has since been charged with first-degree intentional homicide and other related offenses.
