Averia Arceneaux, 33, died on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, inside Afton Oaks Apartments on Newcastle Avenue in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Police said officers responded around 10:29 a.m. after reports of gunfire inside one unit and found Arceneaux and 29-year-old Johvon McKinley inside the residence.
