Brandon Taylor Oetken, a 38-year-old from Florence, Oregon, passed away on the afternoon of May 3, 2026, after a motorcycle collision on Highway 126 in Lane County near Rose Hill Road.
Authorities said traffic had slowed when Brandon, riding a green Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail motorcycle, collided with a vehicle that had slowed to turn left.
Another motorcyclist also became involved as the scene unfolded, and Good Samaritans stopped to assist before emergency crews arrived.
Brandon was pronounced deceased at the scene, leaving family, friends, and the Florence community mourning a sudden and painful loss.
