Eva Jae Moran, University of Toledo Freshman Pole Vaulter And Health Sciences Student, Remembered After Marion County, Ohio Automobile Accident
Eva Jae Moran, a University of Toledo freshman student-athlete and health sciences student, died Friday, May 29, 2026, after an automobile accident in Marion County, Ohio.
The University of Toledo announced the news on Sunday, May 31, 2026, as teammates, coaches, classmates, family, and friends remembered a dedicated competitor with a kind and positive spirit.
Moran joined Toledo in 2024 and completed a first season with the Rockets women’s track and field team as a rising pole vaulter.
Moran placed 10th at the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships with a personal-best clearance of 3.57 meters, ranking sixth in program history.
Moran also finished third at the GVSU Big Meet in February with 3.43 meters and fourth at the 56th Annual GINA Relays in April with 3.27 meters.
Before college, Moran competed at River Valley High School in Caledonia, Ohio, and reached the Ohio State Track and Field Championships in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
