Kayla Jane Day of Metropolis, Illinois, passed away on April 30, 2026, at the age of 33, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and love for family and friends.
Known for her vibrant spirit, Kayla touched the lives of many with her generosity and caring nature. Her sudden departure has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew her.
Kayla is survived by her parents, Benjamin Norwood and Teresa Norwood, her husband Timothy Day, siblings Savanah Beavers and Andrew Rice, and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents Thomas Beavers, Doris Beavers, Lindell Norwood, Marsha Norwood, Shirley Norwood, Evelyn Rice, and Ced Rice.
Friends and family shared their condolences online, with one commenting, "Kayla always brought joy wherever she went. She will be deeply missed." Another added, "Her kindness and love will never be forgotten. Prayers for the family."
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4th, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis, IL. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to assist the family with funeral expenses.
