Nicole Dominguez, 43, died Tuesday afternoon, June 2, 2026, near the railroad tracks at the end of Welch Street in Medford.
Medford police responded after concerned residents reported a disturbance in the area, and emergency teams tried to provide aid at the scene.
Authorities said Nicole suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced deceased at the location.
Police identified 19-year-old Darius McCree-Santangelo as a suspect and located the individual about 20 minutes later near West McAndrews Road and Summit Avenue.
Officials said the person was taken into custody without resistance, booked into Jackson County Jail, and the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office now oversees the case.
