Nora Saldana and Teen Passenger Tragically Killed in Early-Morning Wrong-Way Crash on I-10 Frontage Road in Marana, AZ, Leaving Community in Mourning

Nora Saldana, 48, and a 17-year-old teen passenger tragically lost their lives in a head-on collision on the Interstate 10 Frontage Road in Marana, Arizona, in the early hours of March 25, 2026, at approximately 1:22 a.m.

Emergency responders from the Marana Police Department and Northwest Fire District arrived at the scene to find five individuals involved, with Saldana and the teen unresponsive. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts, both were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators reported that a 2021 Honda Civic was traveling in the wrong lane, colliding with a 2003 Jeep Liberty heading in the correct direction. No signs of impairment were observed in either driver, and the collision underscores the dangers of wrong-way driving even at normal speeds.
