Ronald E. Pappa, 44, passed away on April 22, 2026, following a tragic early morning crash on State Route 241 in Salt Creek Township near Killbuck, Ohio.

Authorities reported that the incident occurred around 4:44 a.m., when Ronald was driving northbound and attempted to pass a tour bus in a marked no-passing zone near a hillcrest.

Investigators said the vehicle lost control while returning to the lane, crossing into oncoming traffic and colliding with a southbound pickup truck.

Emergency responders quickly transported Ronald to Pomerene Hospital, where medical staff made every effort to save his life before he was later pronounced deceased.

The other driver involved remained unharmed and cooperated fully with officials at the scene.
