Saturah Hayes, 17, Remembered After Fatal Webb Banks Passive Park Incident In Brownsville On Friday, May 8, 2026
Saturah Hayes, a 17-year-old teenager, died after an incident Friday, May 8, 2026, at Webb Banks Passive Park on Key Corner Street in Brownsville.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said four people received emergency care after officers with the Brownsville Police Department responded to the park.
Medical teams transported all four people to a nearby hospital, where investigators later confirmed that Saturah Hayes had died from the injuries sustained.
Officials had not publicly released the conditions of the three surviving victims as of May 9, 2026.
According to David Livingston, a group of teenagers had gathered at the park to take prom photographs before the incident, and the local prom event was later canceled.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation continues to assist Brownsville Police as authorities review evidence and speak with witnesses.
Community members across Brownsville and Haywood County continue to mourn Saturah Hayes and support the affected families.
Memorial service details and funeral arrangements will be announced later by the family.
