Tori Dakota Bunch, 18, Remembered After Fatal Head-On Crash On State Highway 136 In Potter County, Texas
Tori Dakota Bunch, 18, of Panhandle, died early Tuesday, May 26, 2026, after a head-on crash on State Highway 136 in Potter County, Texas.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said the crash happened at approximately 5:51 a.m. along SH 136 south of El Rancho Road.
Investigators said a 2016 Ford F-150 driven by 17-year-old Elias Shane Kincanon of Amarillo traveled northbound in the southbound lane and collided with the 2017 Ford Fusion driven by Bunch.
Authorities said both drivers wore seatbelts, and Bunch was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kincanon received transport by ambulance to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo with serious injuries after bystanders helped remove the driver from the burning pickup.
Officials also reported a secondary crash when another southbound vehicle struck the back right quarter panel of the Ford F-150, with no injuries reported.
The Texas Department of Public Safety continues to investigate, while memorial and funeral service details will be announced later by family members.
