Greenville Child Za’mier Messiah-Marshawn Neal Remembered After Mauldin Vehicle Collision on June 3, 2026
Za’mier Messiah-Marshawn Neal, 9, of Greenville, died after a vehicle collision involving a child pedestrian on Wednesday evening, June 3, 2026, in Mauldin, South Carolina.
The incident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. in the area of Wild Dogwood Way, where emergency responders found Za’mier with serious injuries and provided immediate care.
Medical personnel transported Za’mier to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, where staff continued treatment before Za’mier was pronounced dead at 7:18 p.m.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said an autopsy conducted on June 4 found that Za’mier died from multiple blunt force injuries, and officials ruled the manner of death accidental.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to review the circumstances of the crash as family, friends, and the Greenville community mourn this profound loss.
