Adolphus Busch IV, St. Louis-Area Conservation Advocate And Member Of The Historic Busch Family, Dies At 72 On May 30, 2026
Adolphus Busch IV, a member of the prominent Busch family and a descendant of the family behind Anheuser-Busch, died Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the age of 72.
The public notice appeared Monday, June 1, 2026, and the family has not announced a cause.
Busch, one of eleven children of August “Gussie” Busch Jr. and the eldest child of Gertrude “Trudy” Busch, built a public identity around conservation, civic engagement, and independent views.
For many years, Busch lived at Belleau Farm in St. Charles County, Missouri, where natural landscapes shaped a lasting commitment to habitat protection.
Busch supported the Great Rivers Habitat Alliance and recently helped advance a partnership with St. Charles County to turn a 785-acre former private duck club into a public refuge and education site for migratory birds.
