Allen Gardner, Beloved Father and Devoted Grandparent, Passes Away Peacefully Surrounded by Family in Modesto, CA
Allen Gardner passed away unexpectedly on April 7, 2026, leaving a deep void in the hearts of his family and friends.
Born on June 1, 1945, Allen was a devoted father, loving grandfather, and cherished husband of Verda Jayne Gardner of Ceres.
Allen is survived by his daughter Samantha and son-in-law Jonathon Norton, and his grandchildren Calliope and Jonathon Jr. Norton of Modesto, as well as his brother Lon of Ormond Beach, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Essie Gardner, and his grandson Xavier Norton.
An avid bowler, Allen found joy in the lanes, traveling, and adventures shared with close friends while riding along in the semi-truck. Above all, he cherished his grandchildren, showering them with love and laughter.
Friends and family have shared their condolences online, remembering Allen’s kindness, humor, and unwavering devotion. Samantha Norton shared that “his memory will forever be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.”
