Allen Gibson, 16-Year-Old Remembered for an Outgoing Spirit and Deep Family Bonds, Dies on March 2 as Community Rallies in Support of Grieving Family
Allen Gibson, a 16-year-old remembered by loved ones as energetic and full of life, died on March 2, leaving family members and supporters in deep sorrow.
Family members shared the heartbreaking news through a fundraiser created to help cover viewing, cremation, and funeral expenses for the young teen.
Organizer Diena Carter, Allen’s sibling, wrote that the family never imagined facing such a loss so soon after Allen celebrated a 16th birthday in January.
Carter described Allen as an outgoing and spirited young person whose presence brought joy to family members, especially as the youngest of five children.
The sudden loss has left relatives struggling to process the absence of someone they described as the baby of the family and a bright presence in their daily lives.
A fundraising effort launched on March 4 has already gathered support from a dozen donors, raising hundreds of dollars toward the goal of providing Allen with a proper farewell.
In the fundraiser message, Carter expressed gratitude for any help, writing that the family hopes to give friends and relatives a chance to say goodbye during a planned viewing.
Loved ones continue to share condolences and support as the family prepares memorial arrangements.
Family members said details about services and an official obituary will be announced in the coming days.
