Poplar Bluff Community Mourns Brittany Luna, 45, After Fatal Saturday Night Incident Near Victor And Thomas Streets
Brittany Luna, 45, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away after a Saturday night incident near Victor and Thomas Streets on May 16, 2026.
Officers with the Poplar Bluff Police Department responded around 10:23 p.m., and emergency responders provided aid before transport to a nearby hospital.
Medical staff continued care, but Brittany later passed away from the injuries.
The Poplar Bluff community remembered Brittany as a beloved daughter, friend, neighbor, and familiar presence whose life carried deep meaning for many people.
Investigators continue to review the circumstances, examine available footage, and follow leads after identifying and interviewing a person of interest.
The Butler County Coroner’s Office is assisting, and an autopsy has been scheduled as part of the ongoing case review.
