Springville Resident Chance Mitchell Lawrence Taylor Dies At 38 After Pickup Truck Leaves St. Clair County 32 Near Clayton Road
Chance Mitchell Lawrence Taylor, a 38-year-old Springville resident, died after a single-vehicle crash on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at about 8:35 a.m.
Authorities said Taylor drove a 2001 Chevrolet S10 along St. Clair County 32 near Clayton Road, roughly five miles west of Springville, when the pickup left the roadway and hit a tree.
Emergency responders took Taylor to UAB St. Vincent’s East Hospital, where Taylor later died from the injuries.
Officials said no other vehicles took part in the crash, and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol Division continues to review the circumstances.
Family members plan to announce obituary and funeral service details at a later time.
