Daysun Wilson, 22, Of Halifax Remembered After Fatal May 18, 2026, Apartment Complex Incident In Lynchburg, Virginia
Daysun Wilson, 22, of Halifax, died after an altercation on Sunday evening, May 18, 2026, at Millwood Apartments, 6224 Old Mill Road, in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Officers responded at about 8:20 p.m. after reports of gunfire, and Wilson was taken by private vehicle to Lynchburg General Hospital, where medical staff pronounced Wilson dead soon after arrival.
Authorities identified Ke John McGhee, 20, of Richmond, Virginia, as the wanted person in the case, with a listed description of 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 130 pounds.
Investigators said Wilson and McGhee knew each other before the dispute, and regional agencies continued working to locate McGhee as of the May 19, 2026 report.
Family and friends now mourn Wilson’s loss, while memorial and funeral service details will be announced later by family members.
