Hassoun Choui, an 18-year-old from Pierrefonds, QC, tragically passed away after falling into a frozen lake. Despite valiant rescue efforts, Hassoun has yet to be found, leaving family and friends devastated by the loss.
Hassoun's friend, who was with him during the incident, was rescued in critical condition but is currently receiving medical care. This young man, who was part of an extended family of educators, had been known to many since his early years, having attended daycare at the same facility where the educators now work.
A fundraiser has been set up by a group of educators to support Hassoun’s family during this heartbreaking time. The goal is to provide financial relief so that the family can focus on each other and navigate this immense tragedy surrounded by love and support.
“Your thoughts, prayers, and any contributions mean so much during this time,” the fundraiser's organizer, Elisabeth Tessier, shared.
