Iker played for Chicago City Soccer Club and had recently earned scholarships with their brother, reflecting a deep love for the game and a dream of becoming a professional athlete.
Osmar Abad Cruz organized a memorial fundraiser on behalf of Neptali Paredes to support the family with urgent expenses, including memorial needs, cremation costs, medical bills, and living support.
As of Tuesday, May 19, 2026, the fundraiser had raised $1,655 toward a $24,000 goal through 24 donations.
The Tamale Guy Chicago team shared heartfelt support for the family and asked the community to keep them in their thoughts during this difficult time.
