Matthew Gipson, of Carbondale, Illinois, passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 33.
Matthew was born on May 31, 1992, and leaves a lasting memory with loved ones, relatives, and close friends.
Matthew’s family includes parents Johnnie L. Gipson and Jennifer Lynn Gipson Greenwood of Benton, Illinois, and brother Trevor John Gipson of Marion, Illinois.
Loved ones also include grandfather Keith Greenwood and Brenda of West Frankfort, Illinois, uncle Mark Greenwood of Benton, Illinois, aunts Brenda Wiggins and Randy, Judy Lampley and Danny, and Meg Dickey and Bill.
Matthew was preceded in passing by grandparents Charles "Chalk" and Sylvia Gipson and aunt Pam Prior.
Close friends Robert Burress of Carbondale, Illinois, and Alexa also remain among those honoring Matthew’s memory.
