Taylor Dobbins Of Jonesboro Remembered After Rain-Related U.S. Highway 49 Multi-Vehicle Crash On May 28, 2026
Taylor Dobbins, 41, of Jonesboro, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 28, 2026, after a multi-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 49.
Authorities said the crash happened around 2:13 p.m. when rain left the roadway slick and a westbound 2015 Dodge Charger began to hydroplane.
The vehicle crossed the centerline and collided with an oncoming 2025 Nissan Rogue before leaving the road and overturning.
Emergency crews responded within minutes, but Taylor Dobbins was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officials said 44-year-old Penny Spaulding, the Nissan Rogue driver, received medical care at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center.
The highway remained partially closed for hours while investigators documented the scene and cleared debris.
Officials have not announced charges, and the case remains under routine investigation.
